I met my husband while he was stationed at Hill AFB. I grew up just 25 minutes south of the base in Salt Lake City Utah. I loved Hill AFB. You are surrounded by beautiful montains and you get to see all four seasons. the base is nice clean and has one of the greatest gyms in all of the Air Force. The Warrior Fitness Center is new and features an indoor track brand new equipment and a climbing wall! The commissary and BX aren't too bad and they aren't usually too crowded.

The local community surrounding the base is great. It's a very crime-free and clean city. It's a nice safe place to live. The Layton/Clearfield/Roy areas are very family oriented and a great place to raise kids. The local community is very supportive of the military families. I loved living near Hill AFB and I would go back any time!

Lived here twice 93-96 and 2006-2010. LOVED it. Too many civilians working on base but otherwise base is great.
